Welcome to Shantivanam
 Shantivanam (pronounced Shähn-tee-väh-näm, a Sanskrit word that translates as "Forest of Peace") is the House of Prayer of the Catholic Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas. It provides an environment of peace and prayer for persons of all religious backgrounds who are seeking sacred solitude and a place of retreat in a contemplative, rural setting.
The ministry of Shantivanam — which was founded on the Scripture texts "Be still and know that I am God" (Ps 46:11) and "My House shall be called a House of of Prayer for all peoples" (Is 56:7) — is to foster prayer, renewal, and spiritual growth and to pray for the needs of the Archdiocese of Kansas City, Kansas, the Church at large, and the world.
